The student, when asked, said he was familiar with the KKK, according to the statement, which didn't identify the student by name. The elder Alcede is no stranger to controversy. Alcede believes the boy, who says he was not familiar with the KKK, deserves an apology - not punishment - following an incident that he believes unfairly labeled him as a racist. Jeremy Alcede said he expects to hear back from the principal of Cinco Ranch High School on Thursday regarding whether the two days of three-hour, after-school detentions will be imposed on his son.
